Acoustics and Performing Arts

Acoustics are important at every level of architecture. They help a teach to be heard and understoof, they let you experience a piece of art, and they keep unwanted noise out of important spaces. Trilobite Design’s experience in architectural acoustics spans the breadth of traditional performing arts – performing arts centers, concert halls, theaters, music venues, recording studios, and screening rooms.

Don’t underestimate the importance of the way a room sounds in other spaces, too. Home improvements, restaurants, bars, and retail design. How an environment sounds is an important element in how a building is experienced.

Sustainable Design

Energy efficiency is not only an important environmental goal, it also directly impacts everyone’s daily life. Owning a building, or living and working in the built environment can be more comfortable and more affordable if the facility is designed to use less energy. Each new construction project and renovation is an opportunity to add a host of benefits.

Costs substantially less to own, operate, and maintain

Use fewer environmental resources

Increase your personal comfort inside the building

Improve your health with better indoor air quality

Architectural Services

Trilobite Design can assist any or all phases of construction and design, from master planning through construction management.

A typical project often only includes a schematic design (general concept) phase followed by construction documentation (drawings for building and permitting). But there are conceptual and master planning phases that can be added to the beginning, or construction phase services that can be added to the end.

Advisory Services

If you’re planning a project, but either don’t need full architectural services, or are planning to work with a generalist building or other design firm, we can still help!

With our specific expertise, we’re happy to work on portions of larger projects specific to performing arts, or simply be advisors to the rest of the construction team on the feasibility, planning, and design steps that impact the acoustics or sustainability of a building.
