Renovations and Existing Buildings

One of the best things about Cincinnati is the fantastic stock of older buildings. There are lovely old buildings getting new life as businesses expand and start. And there are thousands of old houses getting projects big and small to make room for a new residents.

It may not be obvious, but find your expert team FIRST. An Architect has both the experience and the creativity to help you direct your dream in a way that can make it a reality. We know (or can find) all the zoning regulations, building codes, and limitations that could derail a project if they’re found out too late. Exploring ideas with those constraints up front can save a LOT of money.

Converting that old church into a brewery or dance theater isn’t that big of a deal if the planning is done correctly. But changing the use of an existing building and getting it renovated from a store to a couple dwelling units will take a lot of foresight.

A renovation project started before the Architect was called.

I’ll dive into the real projects I’ve been busy with soon, but want to please ask you to give me a ring before you talk through how big the new addition is going to be with the contractor – it’s possible it shouldn’t go where they want to start digging!
