Designing every building to
Passive House standards.

SUSTAINABILITY

The constrution industry is one of the world’s leading causes of pollution – but we still need housing, places to work, and places to gather.
Sustainable buildings can be constructed at any scale, and each new building provides an opportunity to build a more sustainable environment. LEED, Energy Star, and other rating systems provide fantastic benchmarks to work from.

PASSIVE HOUSE

Trilobite Design is focused on designing each new project to Passive House standards. This is an international baseline for energy efficiency and sustainable design focused on an extremely insulated construction, continuous ventilation, and an air-tight shell.
Local jurisdictions provide tax incentives for LEED certification, and we’re working with organizations to provide similar incentives for Passive House certification.

PROJECT TYPES

One of the most important things to acknowledge is that nearly every project type can be built more sustainable. The most obvious incentives can be found in single- and multi-family residential, office buildings, cultural facilities, and schools.

Trilobite Design would love to help you plan an urban eco-district full of energy efficient, dense, sustainable housing. Our team has experience navigating zoning and building codes, complicated sites, and odd constraints of every size and shape.

What can we do?

We can start with an existing house design, work from scratch, consult with bigger design teams, or provide a master plan for a sustainable development. We’re happy to walk you through every step of the process, and engage in a manner that works with your budget and goals.

Whether an efficient tiny house or a sustainable social housing project, Trilobite Design can be your Architect.
